We are closely monitoring the situation and taking important steps to help protect the health and safety of our guests and team members.
Out of an abundance of caution, we have further strengthened our already rigorous restaurant procedures around food safety, cleanliness and hygiene and their frequency and closed selected dining rooms in selected restaurants to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This is a drastic measure, but it is being done to contribute to social distancing that has been called for by public health officials.
At Burger King® we are committed to the highest operational and food safety standards and we have implemented a full prevention plan including additional preventative measures.
We have robust cleaning and sanitation procedures in place at restaurants. We have enhanced our standard regarding hand washing, personal hygiene, cleaning and contact-less procedures in all restaurants. We are also providing training and requiring our team members to actively acknowledge that they understand the importance of following the enhanced procedures.
A selection of Burger King dining rooms are temporarily closed until further notice. For the time being, the brand will maintain drive-thru and delivery service, while increasing our safety protocols and encouraging a touchless experience between employees and guests.
All Employees go through thorough trainings that cover Food Safety, Personal Hygiene, Restaurant Employee and Guest Safety and Cleaning to understand, and adhere to the new procedures.
We are working with experts and are regularly taking advice on health and safety from public health officials. As information and guidance from public health officials changes, we will reassess and change our procedures and protocols accordingly.
